How long will it take me to pass my test?

To pass a test you must be able to consistently drive independently.  This effectively means the pupil can drive safely and correctly with only directional instructions.  The amount of hours differs from pupil to pupil, some can achieve this level by 20 to 30 hours, some may take 60 plus hours.  The key is to learn at your pace and not be rushed into sitting a test because "my friend passed after 25hrs" or "I only wanted to spend this amount of money on lessons". It's worth noting the national average is 65 hrs to pass a test (40-45hrs of instructed lessons and about 20hrs of private practice)!

When can I take my test?

You must first have passed your theory test before booking a test, therefor it's worth getting this out the way as early as possible.

As mentioned above, you must be able to drive independently before taking a test.  YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO SIT A TEST IN THE INSTRUCTOR'S CAR WHEN BOTH THE INSTRUCTOR AND PUPIL HAVE AGREED THE PUPIL IS AT THE CORRECT LEVEL!

Do I take my test in the instructor's car?

Yes, you will be able to take your test in the instructor's car as long as both the instructor and pupil have agreed the pupil as attained the correct level of driving.
